Thank you Teagan Faran . . .
and all the other exceptional young musicians who participated in the benefit concert for Dreams from the Heart Camp on Friday, May 30, at Williamsville South High School. Teagan, a senior at Williamsville East, organized a group of over 40 amazing musicians who performed the classical works of Mendelssohn, Debussy, and Schumann as well as jazz pieces of Duke Ellington and Dave Brubeck. The musicians hailed from Williamsville East, Julliard, Boston College, Brighton High School (in Rochester), UB, Grand Island, Oberlin College, Nichols, Clarence, East Aurora, Amherst, and Williamsville South. The performances included violin and piano compositions, cello quartet, flute and marimba duet, horn quintet, choral groups, and jazz ensemble. The outstanding performances left audience viewers spellbound by the stunning talent and beauty of the music that was performed.
Teagan Faran conceived of the idea, organized the musicians, secured a facility, designed and printed the program, and rallied the support of volunteers to help with stage sets and ticket sales. Teagan is a gifted and generous young woman who is destined to become famous. We are fortunate to have been blessed with a night of spectacular music and to be the recipients of her tireless efforts. Thank you, Teagan.
